Child Safety Standards

Effective date: May 6, 2025  ·  Last updated: May 6, 2025

RisenSelf is committed to maintaining a safe platform for all users. We have zero tolerance for any content or behavior that sexually exploits or abuses minors. This page describes our standards against child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) in compliance with Google Play's Developer Program Policy.

1. Zero-Tolerance Policy

RisenSelf strictly prohibits any content, communication, or behavior that constitutes child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or child sexual exploitation and abuse (CSEA). This includes but is not limited to:

  • Any imagery, video, text, or link that sexually depicts or exploits a minor.
  • Grooming — attempting to build trust with a minor for the purpose of sexual exploitation.
  • Soliciting sexual content from or involving minors.
  • Sharing, distributing, or facilitating access to CSAM in any form.
  • Any communication that sexualizes or endangers a child.

Violations of this policy will result in immediate and permanent account termination, removal of all associated content, and referral to the appropriate authorities.

2. Platform Design and Age Restrictions

RisenSelf is intended for users aged 13 and older. Users under 18 are considered minors and receive additional protections on our platform. We do not knowingly permit children under 13 to create accounts. If we become aware that a user is under 13, we will immediately terminate their account.

Our platform is designed as a personal development and advisory community. We do not feature content or functionality designed to facilitate romantic or sexual contact between users of any age.

3. Content Moderation

We use a combination of automated tools and human review to detect and remove content that violates our child safety standards. Measures include:

  • Automated scanning of uploaded media for known CSAM hashes using industry-standard detection tools.
  • User reporting mechanisms that allow any member to flag harmful content or behavior.
  • Review and action on all reports involving potential harm to minors as a highest-priority case.
  • Permanent removal of violating content and accounts upon confirmation.

4. Reporting Violations

If you encounter content or behavior on RisenSelf that you believe violates these standards, please report it immediately:

  • In the app — tap the flag icon on any post in your feed. Pick a category (Child safety concern, Sexual content, Harassment, Violence, Self-harm, and others), add an optional note, and submit. Reports go to the RisenSelf moderation queue.
  • Child-safety reports are escalated immediately — they are flagged urgent in the admin queue and an alert is emailed to the safety team the moment they're submitted.
  • By email — contact us at admin@risenself.com. Reports involving minors are reviewed as top priority.

You can also report CSAM directly to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) CyberTipline or your local law enforcement.

5. Cooperation with Authorities

RisenSelf will cooperate fully with law enforcement agencies and regulatory bodies investigating CSAE-related incidents. In accordance with 18 U.S.C. § 2258A, we report apparent violations involving CSAM to the NCMEC CyberTipline and preserve relevant evidence as required by law.

6. Ongoing Commitment

We are committed to continuously improving our child safety practices. We review and update these standards regularly and will incorporate evolving best practices and legal requirements as they develop. If you have questions or feedback about our child safety policies, please contact us at admin@risenself.com.
