Delete Your Account
You can permanently delete your RisenSelf account directly from within the app. Follow the steps below for your device.
MOn mobile

Open the app and sign in.

Tap the gear icon (⚙) in the top-right corner of the screen to open Settings.

Scroll to the bottom of the Settings page until you reach the red Danger Zone section.

Tap Delete My Account.

In the confirmation dialog, type DELETE and tap Delete My Account.
DOn desktop

Open the app and sign in.

Click the gear icon (⚙) next to your name at the bottom of the left sidebar.

Scroll to the bottom of the Settings page until you reach the red Danger Zone section.

Click Delete My Account.

In the confirmation dialog, type DELETE and click Delete My Account.
What gets deleted, immediately
- Your login (auth account, email, password)
- Your profile, name, avatar, and bio
- Your posts, comments, and the DMs you sent (when you leave the default option enabled)
- Likes, bookmarks, post views, profile views
- Notifications, blocks, friend connections
- Your plans, decisions, and activity log
- Any advisors you created on the platform
What stays
Conversations you had with other people remain in theirinbox — you cannot delete another person’s record of a conversation. Your name and avatar are stripped, so you appear as “[deleted user]”.
If a piece of your content has already been reported for child-safety reasons, the report itself is preserved (with your identifying details removed) so the platform can fulfill its legal reporting obligations.
A note on backups
Database backups are retained for up to 7 days for disaster recovery. Your deleted data may persist in those backups during that window before being purged automatically. Backups are not used for any operational purpose.
